CRJ 485 - Criminal Justice Practicum
This senior-level practicum allows students to apply what they’ve learned in the classroom and through internships to a simulated semester-long criminal investigation. The simulated investigation will engage students from multiple majors in a realistic federal crime scenario. Criminal Justice students will interview witnesses, use informants, engage in consensual monitoring, conduct undercover operations, obtain and execute search warrants, write reports and affidavits, and provide courtroom testimony. Students from other majors will join the class to round out the scenario.
Prerequisites
Open to CJ seniors. Students from other disciplines will need to obtain permission of their Program Director / Chair to participate.
