ACC 280 - Forensic Accounting


Students will delve into the worlds of financial forensics and fraud investigation by examining the fraud triangle, the psychology of a fraudster, schemes and methods used to deceive, fraud detection,  and identification of problematic transactions, to expose the web of individuals involved in a fraud scheme. The course draws upon a wide range of subjects, including psychology,  cyber crime, IT controls, accounting, auditing, internal controls, mathematics, data mining, business law, and ethics.

ACC-135 and/or 30 credits
