COR 332 - Costa Rica Travel Experience


This course offers students a creative, facilitated space in which to integrate the concepts of other Costa Rica-related courses they and their peers are taking, and the ability to apply this learning during a trip that explores the diverse communities, cultures, and eco-regions of Costa Rica. Course themes focus on the ways that Ticos encounter and address environmental pressures and the circumstances by which Costa Rica nurtured an identity of exceptionalism in a region known for political and economic unrest.


Prerequisites Student will take one or more of the following as a pre- OR co-requisite course: 

ENP 300: Place-based Environmental Studies 

ENP 350: Ecotourism 

COR 330: ¡Pura Vida Costa Rica!: Ecology 

COR 330: ¡Pura Vida Costa Rica!: Policy 

COM 401: Environmental Communication
