BUS 400 - B Corp Practicum I

This course will accompany the BSBA in Business for Good concentration as a field-based, structured experience for B4G students. This practicum experience will be distinct from a capstone, as students are placed in local businesses to to engage in sustainability and good business projects. It will be distinct from an internship in that there will be specific, pre-arranged professional opportunities for students to choose from. This experience will also likely include a rotation among multiple businesses in an intentional and structured manner.

This course, along with BUS-410, complements a student’s capstone coursework by offering an opportunity to integrate their learning in a professional setting. While a student in BUS-400 and BUS-410 will have significant input into their learning process, it is not a self-directed learning experience like a capstone. Further, BUS-400 and BUS-410 may, but not necessarily, integrate learning from the student’s Core experience
