CRJ 115 - Criminal Legal Systems


Students gain insight into the criminal legal system’s response to crime in society by examining the structure and function of the system and its components, including criminal law, police, courts, and corrections. Students will also probe the system’s historical and social context; its interaction with other social systems; and conflicts between crime control and due process, race, gender, class, and ethnicity.
