FINC 506 - Investments This course serves as a theoretical introduction to investments. Students learn major issues of concern to all investors, including the economic environment, security valuation, different asset classes, and modern portfolio theory. This course attempts to strip away unnecessary mathematical and technical details and students concentrate on the common themes, such as efficiency of security markets and the risk-return trade-off. Students study fundamental investment theories using real-world examples. Prerequisites FINC-501 Credit(s): 3
