CYBR 210 - Foundations of Cybersecurity


This is a technical course intended for students seeking hands-on experience with core cybersecurity practices. Students will develop a foundational understanding of how to protect information assets within computer systems and networks. They will explore the cybersecurity triad-Confidentiality, Integrity, and Availability-then apply technical concepts such as cryptographic methods, system hardening, and network security protocols. Students will also examine cybersecurity ethics and learn to identify, assess, and mitigate vulnerabilities using practical, real-world strategies.
