WRT 280 - Reading & Writing in the Wilderness Combines the study of nature literature with an intensive, journal-based writing practice. The course includes two Saturday/Sunday excursions into local wilderness areas. We will read writers such as Emerson, Thoreau, Leopold Dillard, Halpern, Lord, Elder, and Carson. A continued emphasis is placed on improving writing skills. Note: students are responsible for providing their own equipment and food for the outings. Prerequisites: ENG-112 OR COR-125 Credits: 3 CCM
