This required course sequence comprise an 9-credit foundation for the 24  Education Thread.

Note: EDU 335 is 2-credits and EHS 210 is one-credit.

• EDU 310 - Elementary Language Arts
• EDU 233 - Teaching Diverse Learners in the Inclusive Classroom
• EDU 110 - Foundations of Learning and Teaching
• EHS 210 - Social Justice Intensive

Required Developmental Psychology Course (3 credits)

• PSY 220 - Developmental Psychology
• PSY 120 - Adolescent Psychology
• PSY 131 - Child Psychology

Required Literacy Course (3 credits)

• EDU 310 - Elementary Language Arts
• EDU 230 - Content Literacy

Required Field-Based Course (3 credits)

• EDU 270 - Service Learning To Connect Schools and Society
• EHS 300 - Community Advocacy and Inquiry Abroad
• EHS 490 - EHS Internship Experience

Elective Courses (6 credits)

Students choose 6 credits of elective courses to add to the 18 credits of required  courses  from among the following Education Courses (or EHS courses as directed by advisor).  

These may include choosing one-credit EHS courses and with permission of M.Ed. Program Director, select Graduate Education Courses (GEE) from the M.Ed Program.
