PSY 405 - Music for Heath and Wellbeing


This advanced applied course aims at introducing students to the professional psychological uses of music as a tool to promote health and wellbeing. The course will focus on different approaches to music therapy, and the use of music-based interventions to promote emotional and behavioral improvement in specific populations (children, adults, and elderly). Students will work in small teams, under the guidance of experts, to learn to build and learn how to apply (using class simulations) professional interventions based on the use of music.


Prerequisites

Take 3 credits of 300 level Psychology.
